I can't believe that it has been just over a month that we've been married, and today I wanted to share the fragrances we wore for our wedding day. Both of us chose our favorite scents from Diptyque, and I think they made for the perfect scents for our almost summer wedding.
For Her: Diptyque Eau Rose
Long time readers will know that this scent that has long been a favorite of mine, despite the time of year. It is a rose that is very distinctly rose, yet and fresh and sweet, but in a way that has richness and depth unlike many mainstream rose themed perfumes. I do find that Roses by Chloe has a similar scent initially, but the Diptyque wins hands down as it wears on the skin.
Top notes: bergamot, black currant and litchi;
Middle notes: jasmine, geranium and rose
Base notes: musk, virginia cedar and white honey.
For Him: Diptyque 34 L'Eau du Trente-Quatre
A fresher version of their classic 34 scent, this one still contains some of the spicy notes with a hint of citrus. I like that on his skin, this one gets fresher and sweeter throughout the day. I have such a hard time describing this one, but I really do think it is an interesting scent that could be worn by both men and women.
Top notes: bitter orange, lemon, verbena, grapefruit, lavender, juniper berries, nutmeg, cinammon and birch leaf
Middle notes: geranium and tuberose
Base notes: cedar, patchouli, incense, labdanum and moss
