I love a low maintenance lip color, and I think I've just found my two favorite formulas for summer: Givenchy's new Le Rouge-a-Porter line, and the classic Dior Addict Lipstick. The former was an excited duty-free purchase last month, while the latter is a stash rediscovery.

My summer lip loves are both bright and cheery - the Dior being a mini from a Sephora perk ages ago, in the best-selling shade Dior Kiss #578. Sephora describes it as a sheer dark pink, and while I can't say it is dark on my pigmented lips, I do find it to be a perfect everyday pink. I had forgotten just how much I like the formula, which is surprisingly pretty hydrating for a lipstick and pretty weightless on.

I'm finding the Givenchy lipstick to be quite hydrating and weightless as well, and I'm just loving the leather and studded look of the lipstick tube. When swatched, the color looks remarkably similar to Dior Kiss, but on my lips it is clearly more coral than pink.

Can you see what I mean in the swatches above? At first glance, they look so similar, but upon closer inspection, the Dior looks decidely more pink to me. Or, is that just me? (LOL!)

All in all, I'm totally loving these formulas right now. I definitely want to pick up more shades from both of these ranges! Have you tried Givenchy Le Rouge-a-Porter or Dior Addict lipsticks? What are your favorite lipsticks for summer? I'd love to know! :)
