I probably could've used a facial before I got married, but the weeks leading up to it were a relatively calm affair. I didn't stress too much about my makeup, and the same was true of my skin. I did pay a bit more attention to face masks in the days leading up to the wedding, hoping for a bit of a refresher.
For a nice cleanse, I chose this deluxe sample of Omorovicza Deep Cleansing Mask, a clay mask that never feels drying that leaves my skin feeling soft.
To give my skin a bit of a treatment, I used the Chantecaille Fruit and Flower Acids Mask, one I purchased over the holidays (and never opened!) after seeing how nice it made my gross winter hands look. Thinking back on it now, I probably could've have thrown in a bit of a stronger peel type mask, like Ren Flash 1 Minute Facial or Oskia Renaissance Mask, both of which I have deluxe samples of and the latter of which I haven't yet tried. Perhaps I should've used all three! However, I quite liked the Chantecaille mask, which was gentle and made my skin feel softer and look cleaner.
I was feeling a bit dehydrated that week so I also slathered on Sisley Black Rose Cream Mask, which may just be my favorite moisture mask to date!
So I'd say that was a pretty relaxed week when it came to face masks, wouldn't you? How did you prepare your skin for your wedding (or other special occasion)? Did you stress out about your skin when you got married? I'd love to know!

Summer has really been heating up around here and lately I've been really enjoying this lightweight moisturizer from Tatcha. Intended for normal to combination skin types, this water gel moisturizer is the perfect product for hot summers!
Glossier launched to so much hype a few years ago, and for whatever reason, I never bit the bullet to purchase any of their products. Then the Milky Jelly Cleanser got so many rave reviews, and a referral code was tempting... And here we are, I now have the phase 1 AND phase 2 sets in my collection.
I tried to get back on track with skincare, but getting sick at the beginning of the week just threw me off with everything, and I just didn't have much energy all week. Read on for last week's skincare diary!
The last week or two has just been crazy, so accordingly, my skincare life is a mess. Hopefully I can keep up with it better now, both in terms of actually washing my face every night (cringe!) and actually writing it down! This was last week's skincare diary, and I plan to start off this coming week on the right foot. :)
A little while ago, Tatcha launched two beautiful new products in their skincare range. I've been a huge fan of Tatcha products over the last few years, and these new additions are no exception. I was so excited to receive this wonderfully packaged box from Tatcha, and I really should have shared them with you sooner!
I've been a big fan of Tatcha for the last few years and I just realized how little I've talked about the brand here on the blog. Every product is so beautifully packaged, and each one I've tried has been so effective for my skin. How could it not be love??
For a long time, I didn't really think that cleansers mattered. After all, you wash them off, so why spend on a product your skin only feels for a few minutes? Then, a few years ago, my skin became sensitive, dehydrated, and often quite irritated, and I started to find that cleansers did make a difference.
I'm starting to think that I'm a moisturizer junkie... When I noticed Belif in the "What's New" section of Sephora.com, I was immediately interested in their moisturizers. Then, at the beginning of the summer, I was given the chance to try their True Cream - Aqua Bomb, a moisturizer geared towards normal to combination/oily skin.
You may have noticed my small obsession for rose in just about any beauty product, and that obsession may have really escalated with a sample of by Terry Cellularose Brightening Serum that I tried quite some time ago. Enter a sample size of by Terry Cellularose Baume D'Eau*, and I realized I had to buy myself a bottle of the Brightening Serum!

If you've been hanging around the blog this year, you probably know that I am a big fan of Belif - I enjoy their moisturizers and have been seriously obsessed with their First Aid Anti-Hangover Soothing Mask all year. So, when they released more masks in the range this past summer, I definitely wanted to give them a try, and I'm so glad I had the opportunity to!
