I'm starting to think that I'm a moisturizer junkie... When I noticed Belif in the "What's New" section of Sephora.com, I was immediately interested in their moisturizers. Then, at the beginning of the summer, I was given the chance to try their True Cream - Aqua Bomb, a moisturizer geared towards normal to combination/oily skin.
Now you may remember that my skin is typically normal to dry, with not so exciting bouts of sensitivity. Ugh. And while I will say that this moisturizer provides just a little less moisture than my skin wants, it has been a much loved product this summer.
The product itself is blue in color, and is just a great gel texture. When applied on the skin, it feels quite cooling, which makes for a perfect product for hot summers. It is intended to boost hydration, which I would say it really does far more than I expected for a gel moisturizer. Plus, it contains some interesting ingredients that aren't too often talked about in skincare.
Here are the ingredients noted by Sephora.com:
- Lady's Mantle: Provides antioxidants and also has pore minimizing benefits; helps remove free radicals from skin.
- Malachite: Antioxidant that neutralizes free radical activity.
- Plantin: Creates moisture seal on skin.
- Oat Husk: Attracts moisture (humectant).
What I think is also important to share is that I am nearly finished with this moisturizer after having it for a few months, and initially I was surprised at how quickly it was going. Then I realized that my husband has been using this quietly and quite religiously all summer! LOL! He likes the texture and cooling feeling of the cream, and it seems to be perfect for his normal skin this summer.
Belif is available at Sephora (both online and in select stores listed on the Belif page) and this moisturizer is available in two sizes at reasonable prices. I also discovered a fun Belif kit including a cleanser, toner, and your choice between the Aqua Bomb or Moisturizing Bomb which I've included in the links below. I've also received their new mask and scrub, which I really look forward to testing out.
I think that Aqua Bomb is just a good, no frills moisturizer that could fit into almost anyone's routine. I would definitely recommend this, and I think it is a great way to get into nicer skincare without spending too much. Have you tried anything from Belif? What's your go-to affordable moisturizer? I'd love to know!
