My Tatcha Ritual ♡

December 25, 2015

I've been a big fan of Tatcha for the last few years and I just realized how little I've talked about the brand here on the blog. Every product is so beautifully packaged, and each one I've tried has been so effective for my skin. How could it not be love??

A few years ago, I fell in love with Tatcha Pure One Step Camellia Cleansing Oil, and while I've been using a number of other cleansers lately, this one has to be in my collection at all times. It is a cleansing oil with a subtle scent that rinses off clean AND is so gentle on the skin - what more could a girl ask for? I've honestly been saving this bottle because I can't bear to undo the pretty packaging. (Crazy, huh?)

I've also been in love with Tatcha's recent release, the Pore Perfecting Sunscreen which was amazing on my trip to Miami in October. There's something silky about the texture, and I love that it keeps my skin hydrated and looks fantastic under makeup. I don't like to put many products on when I am spending a lot of time outdoors, and this has been great because my skin still feels properly moisturized even without my usual layers. I've also read that it is a great primer, but I can't offer a comparison as I rarely use standard face primers for some reason. I seriously love the pretty blue tube too!

The Tatcha products above are ones that I've been using nearly everyday this fall. The Gold Camellia Beauty Oil* (shown here in travel size) is an amazing, non-greasy oil that is perfect to layer with serum and/or moisturizer on dry days. It somehow makes my skin so soft, and really helps to lock in hydration.

Since my skin has been somewhat reactive lately, I haven't been too keen on exfoliating, but the Polished Gentle Rice Enzyme Powder* is the perfect option when my skin is being questionable. It is a really lovely powder exfoliant that is gentle enough for daily use, and it just feels good on the skin. Once I throw the Cleansing Oil back into the mix, I think it would make for a perfect gentle cleansing routine!

You might have noticed that I've been in love with the Tatcha Indigo Soothing Triple Recovery Cream* (review), which is an amazing cream to calm irritated and dry skin. My skin is generally normal, but I do deal with bouts of inflammation on my cheeks, and this has been the best product for soothing it that I've found in the last few years. (And that's saying something!!) I will note that my T-zone can occasionally be oily, and I find this cream a bit thick in texture and not conducive to oil control, so if you have oily skin I would recommend getting a sample or purchasing a travel size first.

I have a handful of other products from Tatcha, all of which I think are lovely. I don't think Tatcha could make a product I didn't love! (Considering how many times I said "amazing" and "fantastic", I'm sure you could tell, haha!) I also love how the brand makes efforts to give back, funding education for girls in Asia and Africa through Room to Read, an organization I have admired and personally donated to when I had the opportunity to over the last ten years.

But, let's get back to the products. If you've been thinking about trying the brand, you seriously have to. Like, right now. They have amazing travel sizes on their website, as well as some beautifully packaged kits and gift sets. They also have amazing promotions on their website too - currently, you can get a travel size Rice Enzyme Powder if you sign up for their newsletter!

Have you tried these or any other products from Tatcha? How did they work out for you? I'd love to know! :)

P.S. For those of you who celebrate, I hope you are enjoying your Christmas and have lots of lovely gifts under the tree! <3
