I'm a girl that's always dreaming of summer, so winter is prime time for blankets, the heat set to 75°, and a fresh summery candle to set the scene. While I have my old favorites, this winter I'm enjoying Stella from Tocca, a fun fragrance brand that doesn't often land in my shopping cart.
Stella's main note is blood orange, with some white floral and musky notes as well. I love anything orange (or citrus in general), so I find myself wishing for more orange and less floral, but I do believe that the overall scent is well balanced and quite unique. I will note that this Tocca candle still smells like a fragrance to me, whereas I find brands like Cire Trudon and Diptyque to have little to no artificiality to them. However, I seem to have a growing aversion to just about any mainstream fragrance these days, and I don't think Tocca has crossed that line for me yet.
In comparison to other luxe candles, this one burns cleanly and is intended to last up to 60 hours. I also enjoy the luxe packaging of this version of the candle, which is in a pretty scalloped jar with a detailed, pretty engraving on the lid. I also just notice that it is even engraved with "Love Yourself" on the inside of the lid, which is an adorable detail for a nice little indulgence!
All in all, I've been enjoying this candle from Tocca and I'm curious to test out the Cleopatra and Bianca scents. Have you tried this or any other products from Tocca? What candles are you burning this winter? (Festive or otherwise?) I'd love to know!
