Sometime over the last few months, I discovered that rose ingredients in skincare really agreed with me. For whatever reason, products with roses in their ingredients list seemed to reduce redness and irritation and really make my skin glow. Since this realization, I've been wanting to try just about anything I could get my hands on with rose in its ingredients list!
I didn't even realize that I had Odacite Acai Rose Serum Concentrate for Youthful Glow in my skincare stash - it was yet another one of those products that I got and then left in a drawer. After reading a review or two, I realized that this serum that you mix with moisturizer could just be the perfect addition to any wintertime skincare routine.
Intended to fight aging and improve the look of broken capillaries, I was totally willing to give this serum a try. I've used it on and off for the last few months, and I don't think I've seen major improvements to my broken capillaries, though I wouldn't expect a serum to work miracles on them. (I'm curious to see if this changes once I finish the bottle, though.)
Somewhat herbal in scent, I will note that this non-greasy oil doesn't smell amazing mixed with some moisturizers out there. (Namely, Omorovicza Illuminating Moisturizer!) I don't find the scent to be floral at all, and I also don't find this serum to be overly rich. For my winter skin, it was sometimes not enough, but it does seem to add a little something to the look of my skin.
On the other hand, I am loving this sample size of Sisley Paris Black Rose Cream Mask. This very lightly scented cream just feels luxurious and makes for the perfect overnight moisture mask. It is definitely my favorite one yet, and I find myself waking up with even-toned, hydrated skin. I love the deep purple packaging of this product line too! I cringe to think about buying a full size, as this is incredibly pricey, and my wallet may just die if I ever buy it!
Have you tried either of these rose themed products? Are there any ingredients that work especially well for your skin? I'd love to know!
