I'm a bit late to the beautyblender bandwagon, but sometime over the last 6 months or so, I fell in love. As a girl who nearly always applies foundation with fingers, this little pink sponge was a savior as cold weather and dry skin hit.
Dampened with water, the beautyblender puffs up and creates a really great finish that helps to mask dryness and hydration issues. There's something enjoyable about the springy feeling of applying product with a fully dampened beautyblender. (Boing, boing, boing... Do all sponges do this? Please say no!) If I can get myself to properly dab foundation on, it creates the perfect finish and coverage, though using sweeping motions works fine as well.
I wasn't sure what I thought of the beautyblender micro.mini*, but I had to try it. (For science, you know!) It is somehow the perfect size for under eyes, and it may just be my favorite way to apply concealer lately. It's not bad for blending cream blush or liquid highlighter either, though I have yet to try the sponge with it wet to apply these products.
I will note that you will probably never get a beautyblender perfectly clean (unless you are amazingly patient or thorough while washing your tools.)
I will say if you prefer applying foundations with your fingers like I do, then this may just be a must have, as it applies product quicker and more evenly than fingers do. (At least mine, ha!)
They're a bit pricey for sponges, so splurge on them during a sale, and opt to get them in a kit for better value. The beautyblender Solid Cleanser is a favorite of mine as well, for brushes too, so perhaps a kit including it would be a great pick.
Have you tried beautyblender sponges? How did they work for you? I'd love to know!
