For a long time, I didn't really think cleansers mattered. You wash it off anyway, was my thought, so why waste money that could be spent on so many other products? Well, as I approached my mid twenties, my skin became more sensitive and quite dehydrated and I had to change my tune...
While I formed quite an attachment to Tatcha's Pure One Step Cleansing Oil and Gentle Rice Enzyme Powder, I still have always been on the hunt for a "standard" cleanser of sorts to round out my routine. I don't know about you, but some late nights or early mornings just call for the fastest possible yet passable skincare routine.
Enter ACURE Organics Sensitive Facial Cleanser*, an affordable AND natural cleanser that seems to be ticking all the boxes for me. It is vegan, sulfate free and quite remarkably free of quite a lot of other standard ingredients too.
This creamy cleanser has not dried out or irritated my skin at all, and it has even occasionally calmed the random bouts of redness I get on my cheeks. It has a creamy texture, smells lightly floral without any artificial fragrance, and rinses off clean. Woohoo!
I've been using this daily for the last month or two, and have no regrets. It seems quite good for wintertime and year round use! I'm excited to try more from their line, especially the few other items I received but have not yet cracked open.

Kate Somerville is a brand I always keep my eyes on. I haven't used much from the brand, but there are always products that intrigue me. In the fall, I was starting to run low on my trusty (and discontinued!) Murad spot treatment, so I decided to try out a treatment from Kate Somerville instead. I debated between the standard spot treatment, the D-Scar, and landed on the Anti Bac Acne Clearing Lotion.
After I finished my last cleanser, I've been going through my stash of deluxe samples to see what else I might fall in love with. There's a whole lot of cleansers on trial over here at BB HQ, and while I haven't found a new favorite, there are definitely some good ones in the bunch.
I've been on a green skincare kick lately, and this serum from Kahina Giving Beauty has been such a staple these last few months. I had never tried the brand before purchasing one of the A Night for Green Beauty x Goodebox collaborations at the beginning of the summer, and all I can say is that I wished I purchased every one of their boxes!
