Summer was a long time coming this year, and boy was I not at all prepared when warm weather hit. Surprising, as I went on two warm weather vacations in April and May... #girlproblems. At any rate, I quickly turned to a few great products to get me ready for summer!
The Prep
My legs are never all that happy when summer hits. My dry skin that I did a poor job of moisturizing all winter really has been enjoying the Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub, a super citrusy, lime scented body scrub that has really brightened my showers.
I've also rediscovered my love for Clarins Self Tanning Instant Gel, a practically foolproof self tanner I enjoyed a few years back. (And by foolproof I really mean it - I even managed a pretty decent application without exfoliating while nearly falling asleep!)
The Finishing Touches
I've been pretty lax on the sunscreen in recent years (YIKES!) so this year I'm really focusing on trying out sunscreens. I've been enjoying this newer release from La Roche Posay, their Anthelios 60 Melt-In Sunscreen Milk. It isn't too greasy as sunscreens go, it is easy to apply, and feels comfortable to wear. It's great for face and body, though I do love me a spray sunscreen for convenience if I'm at the beach or pool.
My makeup in the summertime when it is hot is probably even more minimal than it normally would be, and I turn to a tinted moisturizer on those days. While I've always been in love with Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer, there's something quite fantastic about Sunday Riley Effortless Breathable Tinted Primer. It offers a little coverage to even out my skin and looks and feels like I'm not wearing anything at all!
Last but not least, I've loved topping things off with a swipe of Dior Addict Lip Glow. While I never bought into the hype of it changing colors and all that, I will say that the color that develops on my lips just looks natural, fresh, and put together. Plus, it keeps my lips hydrated for hours!
