I've been slacking on the makeup lately so I thought I'd put together a selection of products that I would like to use this week. I've tried to do this before with limited success, but I am definitely feeling a bit bummed about how unloved my stash is lately!
For base, I've picked out a few products I'd like to test more - the Veil Cosmetics Sunset Skin Foundation* in 3G and the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Foundation Stick. Both of these are relatively new additions to my collection, and I have positive first impressions so far. I also threw in the Veil Cosmetics Complexion Fix, which I've only used once so far but think it'll likely help my puffy undereye situation. (Why are there still allergies in December?!)
On the face, I've stuck to my trusty Benefit Watts Up and Kevyn Aucoin The Sculpting Powder in Medium. I love both of these to death. I didn't really like Benefit Watts Up on my face at first, but seriously, it looks SO GOOD when photographed.
Keeping it simple for eyes this week with one lovely neutral shade in the form of ILIA Silken Eye Shadow Stick in Age of Consent*. I haven't given this a proper review yet, but this is a lovely golden taupe-y sort of shade. Top that off with two more loves - NARS Larger Than Life Eyeliner in Via Veneto and Chantecaille Supreme Cils Mascara. I also love my Glossier Boy Brow in Black, even if sometimes I have such a hard time with the sparse area on one brow!
I tried not to pack a bag full of lipsticks, because let's be real, how many will I actually wear? I threw in the Dior Addict Lip Glow Liner because I still don't really get it and I'm hoping to figure it out. I am loving the Bite Beauty Matte Lip Crayon in Glace and also want to show my Armani Lip Magnet in #507 some love.
I packed this bag in a bit of a rush and I see that I kind of stick to staples if I'm not really thinking about it. No wonder products sit around unopened forever! Anyway, I'm excited to see how this goes.
