It is pretty rare for me to have major issues with product packaging, but there are two products in my stash that just drive me crazy. Both of these products have fantastic formulas, but I just cannot get over their packaging... to the point that I'm not certain I can even get the product out of the package.
My chapped lips love a bit of Bite Beauty's Agave Lip Mask, but I have to say that the original packaging is just about impossible. I've been folding up the bottom of the tube and just squeezing my hardest when I attempt to use it... but really, I don't even want to! I'm still keeping it around though, since this thick balm does wonders for my lips, even in their worst state. (Fortunately, Bite revamped this product's packaging shortly after the launch. The new packaging is much easier to squeeze, though still has a problem with peeling.)
From day one, I loved the shade and formula of this Ellis Faas Creamy Eyes. The shade E123 is a gorgeous dark purple with amazing multidimensional shimmer, but the brush was just too finicky to work with from the start. It always dispensed too much product (like, I could put eyeshadow on at least two people) and now the shadow doesn't seem to be coming out at all. ARGH!
I've banished the lip mask to my bathroom/bedside table, since I think I can make it work and deal with the packaging till the end. Rolling the bottom of the tube really does help make it less difficult... (Hopefully, I don't eat my words later.) I've washed the applicator of my Ellis Faas pen in hopes that it will clear out any dried product and get things going again...
What do you do when a product's packaging just doesn't work for you? Do you have any tips for these products in particular? I'd love to know! :)
