♥ Chanel Rouge Double Intensite ♥

One of my favorite discoveries of 2013 was Chanel Rouge Double Intensite, a long lasting, non-drying liquid lipstick formula that seems unbeatable.

Swipe this on and add the gloss on top - this may sound a bit like the double ended long wearing lip formulas of old - but this is something better. Those old school lip stains and my dry peely lips definitely did not get along. This Chanel formula, however, is seriously brilliant.

On me, this formula just lasts all day, and even protects my lips from environmental dryness. It doesn't make my lips any drier, and it DOES NOT BUDGE! I don't know about you, but one of my pet peeves with lipstick is that I hate hate hate seeing it on cups, utensils, etc - this fantastic lip product solves that problem for me, and I don't have to touch it up! They last forever too - 10+ hours on me - though fans of a perfectly pigmented lip look may want to touch up after a heavy meal or around 6-8 hours in.

There are two things I ought to mention though - when I slather on a ton of lip balm underneath, it is not quite as budgeproof, though still more transferproof than most things I own. Also, those who aim for perfect/clean lip lines may want to use a lip brush or lip liner.

As you can tell, I'm a HUGE fan, and I'll definitely be on the lookout for new shades. What do you think - are Chanel Rouge Double Intensite a product you'll be looking at? What are your favorite long wearing lip products? I'd love to know!

♥ Lush Santa's Lip Scrub

My lips are always in a sad state - perpetually dry and peeling - and I hate to admit that I have a horrible habit of picking off the flaky bits. (I know. Ew.) Lip scrubs definitely help keep my fingers from peeling, and I think I've found my new favorite.

This cola and cherry flavored lip scrub works wonders to exfoliate my dry lips. I love the flavor, and the adorable little hearts inside the product just are so cheery.

Coming in at $8.95 for .8oz, this edible lip scrub is a total win in my book. I've tried Fresh Sugar Lip Scrub, which is $22.50 for .6oz, and is not edible and also has a bit of an oily base. I also want to try Sara Happ's lip scrub, but I'll save that for later. :) All in all, I think Lush Santa's Lip Scrub is something that I will stock up on!

Santa's Lip Scrub is also available inside the Christmas Kisses gift set, which includes the Santa Baby Lip Balm and Toothy Tabs. What do you think of Santa's Lip Scrub? Is this something that you'll be picking up? I'd love to know

Cold Weather Lip Balm: Osmia Luster

A few weeks ago, Osmia Organics sent me their lovely Luster Lip Balm. I knew I wanted to try it after seeing Jessica's post (here) about this beet colored balm, and I am not disappointed.

The air at work is quite good at drying out just about everything - my first day back, my hydrated skin and lips were dehydrated and uncomfortable by lunch. When I wear Osmia Luster, my lips feel good all day. For maximum hydration, I do have to reapply throughout the day to make it through the horrible dry air situation, but even if I apply this just once, my lips feel ok enough to get through the day. (Does something exist for dry-lipped people that doesn't require reapplying?)

I am also a fan of the sheer red tint it brings to my lips. Even though in the tube it looks deeply purple like beets, (which is an ingredient in this lip balm!), on my lips it becomes a nice warm red tint. Funnily enough, this lip balm smells a bit earthy like beets too!

While I'm still not sure where this ranks with my favorite lip balms, (surely in my top 5!) I'm definitely a big fan of Osmia Organics Luster and am so glad to be able to try it! What do you think? Will you be grabbing one for yourself? :)

My Favorite Lip Products

This year, I've somehow become obsessive about lip products, so I thought I ought to share my favorites. Picking favorites for me is generally an impossible task, so this was definitely interesting...!

I've broken down my picks into categories: lip balms, moisturizing glosses, lipsticks, pigmented glosses, lip crayons, and a drugstore pick for a grand total of 13 awesome products that I love.

I do have a need for moisturizing products, as my lips peel even in their natural state. A requirement of any lip product for me is comfortable wear, and at the very least maintaining whatever level of moisture my lips had.

While I was editing the video, I realized I've also forgotten all about Armani Lip Maestro! There are other products that I think might make it on the favorites list too, so perhaps I will have to make another video in a few months!

Watch the video to hear more about the products I like! Are any of these favorites of yours? Do share!

UM I failed to mention Armani Lip Maestro. I like those too.
