What I Wore, #16

This past week, I had high hopes for wearing makeup, but as usual, I didn't really wake up in time most days of the week. I did play with some great shades from the Lush Emotional Brilliance* line, but otherwise didn't really manage much except foundation or concealer on a day or two.

Products I Loved: I recently received Lush Ultrabland Cleanser*, and I am definitely impressed so far. My non beauty love is Lupicia Tea. I forgot how much I really liked the Muscat Black Tea, and have found so many new ones to try!

Product Disappointments: Nothing this week, though I am a bit disappointed I haven't used up more products, ha!

Added to the Wishlist: To the wish list of designer bags I will never have, I've added the Givenchy Medium Pandora Messenger along with the Chanel 2.55 which has been a dream for ages. Well, I suppose I could suddenly become incredibly wealthy. LOL! :-P

What have you been up to this week? Any products you loved or lusted after? Do share!

Products marked with * were provided for review. As always, all opinions are my own!

Added to the Wishlist: Diptyque

I've been seriously contemplating Diptyque's lineup over these last few weeks and added a few things to my neverending wishlist...

I'm super curious to sniff the new limited edition Mina Perhonen candles, but they seem to be an online only option at the moment. In collaboration with Japanese designer Akira Minagawa, these candles seem quite pretty (Oh how I love Diptyque's scent descriptions!) The woodsy Infini, delicate Ciel, and floral Joie all sound heavenly. Now the question is, which would I choose?

The latest addition to Diptyque's scent selection is the floral Eau Moheli. I've sniffed this a few times now, and while it is pretty, I'm just not in love with it once it is on me. I'm also super curious to check out the Baies Room Spray, as I love anything that can scent a room and perhaps I can spritz it on linens too...

I'm also adding L'Ombre dans L'eau, the Eau de Parfum version, to my wishlist, and playing around with samples of the bath & body options. (Did you know Diptyque makes TWO oils and TWO hand creams? I sure didn't!)

Now it is definitely time for me to stalk the DIptyque boutique in San Francisco this weekend...!

My Favorite Lip Products

This year, I've somehow become obsessive about lip products, so I thought I ought to share my favorites. Picking favorites for me is generally an impossible task, so this was definitely interesting...!

I've broken down my picks into categories: lip balms, moisturizing glosses, lipsticks, pigmented glosses, lip crayons, and a drugstore pick for a grand total of 13 awesome products that I love.

I do have a need for moisturizing products, as my lips peel even in their natural state. A requirement of any lip product for me is comfortable wear, and at the very least maintaining whatever level of moisture my lips had.

While I was editing the video, I realized I've also forgotten all about Armani Lip Maestro! There are other products that I think might make it on the favorites list too, so perhaps I will have to make another video in a few months!

Watch the video to hear more about the products I like! Are any of these favorites of yours? Do share!

UM I failed to mention Armani Lip Maestro. I like those too.

This Week's Makeup Bag, #13

I've been falling off the bandwagon lately when it comes to wearing makeup regularly, so I've decided to return to making weekly makeup bag selections.

For those of you who haven't seen these posts before, I started this up at the beginning of the year to help me wear makeup on a daily basis! Since I'm so pressed for time in the mornings, I wanted to have a selection of products all ready to go, to cut down on time trying to figure out what to wear. Since I have somehow managed to collect a large number of cute makeup bags during the course of the last few years, I figured I ought to rotate those in too!

Here's a really lightly applied version of the look. This week, I'm playing around with Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel (otherwise known as Bronze Universal) and Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. I also love the bright pink pop of color in Revlon Baby Stick in Pink Passion and am so happy that the Armani Waterproof Smooth Silk Liner in brown is working for me.

chanel bronze universal, soleil tan de chanel, revlon baby stick pink passion, armani luminous silk foundation 6, diorshow maximizer, diorshow iconic overcurl, maybelling instant age rewind, armani waterproof smooth silk liner, clinique superfine li…

I've also decided that I must remember to wear sunscreen on my face, as the sun is so much stronger here in California, and I enjoy Lancome Bienfait UV 50+. I need to use up the Diorshow Maximizer and Diorshow Iconic Overcurl minis, as I think they're expired. I never remember to do my brows, so Clinique Superfine Liner for Brows is in the pile, as is Maybelline Instant Age Rewind.
