June Recap

I don't know if you've noticed how quiet I've been this last month or two - exhaustion does not lead me to use many products or have many thoughts about anything, it seems. (LOL!) 

In any event, I've been grumpy over the weather, overwhelmed by my stash, and not shopping much except for a visit to The Makeup Show. I'm still skating, and really enjoying it. I think (hope) I'm improving too, but I didn't manage to get a video this month.

Products I Loved:  I've definitely been enjoying my sample of  By Terry Baume de Rose, though I'm not certain I would purchase a full size. Maybe one of the new tinted varieties, but that would definitely be much much later... I've also been enjoying my NARSissist Eyeshadow Palette and Larger Than Life Eyeliner in Via Veneto even though the Nars eyeshadow formula isn't one of my favorites.

Beauty Purchases: My picks at The Makeup Show were the only things I purchased in June! Woohoo, go me! I've totally been loving my Hakuhodo, though I haven't used them much yet, and I have yet to even try most of the other items. Sounds like classic Joyce behavior!

So now that July is here, I'm trying to catch up on everyone's posts and use products again so I will have something to post about! Perhaps I should challenge myself to wear makeup everyday for the rest of July... Hmm!

Products I Loved: 
This month has just been super light when it comes to product usage overall. I can't say I even wore a whole week's worth of makeup! I haven't even tried all of the stuff I got last month. In any event, I've been loving the Pai Rosehip Regenerating Oil and the Louise Young LY39 Eyeshadow Brush. Can't wait to try more by both brands! 

Beauty Purchases: 
I've really been considering my shopping habits and kept it pretty minimal this month. I repurchased Elemental Herbology Detox Bath Oil and got a By Terry Baume de Rose mini, got some goodies from Gummy's blog sale, and picked up a few things from the drugstore. Oh, and I got a bubble bar from Lush. Not too bad, thank goodness! 

Added to the Wishlist:
As usual, my wishlist is growing. I'm particularly intrigued by the new eyeshadows coming out soon from Burberry, I still have my eye on recent releases from Armani, and I desperately want some Hakuhodo. In the shoe world, I'm dying over these studded Burberry wellies and this awesome sandal from Zara. Oh, and can someone get me some Lululemon for my birthday? ;) 

Last but not least, I thought I would share this month's little skating practice video, even with a bit filmed in slow motion!

Products I Loved: I recently talked about my April Favorites but I really can't say enough how much I am loving Aesop's Parsley Seed Masque. I love the Reverence Hand Balm too and want to try just about everything from the brand! 

Beauty Purchases: As usual, I did a little too much shopping, which you can see in my April Beauty Purchases, but I also got a little nuts with fitness apparel and a few pretty goodies from Aritzia. I'm contemplating sharing more fashion in the future, if you guys are interested!

Added to the Wishlist: I have a shopping cart full of Armani right now as a result of blog posts from Techno Cupcake and Gummy Vision. I want an Eyes to Kill Palette, the new Sun Fabric Bronzer, and a pretty Cheek Fabric Blush. And oh, have I mentioned how much I want a Tom Ford Eye Defining Pencil in Espresso? :)

Lastly, I know I've told some of you I've signed up for a figure skating class at the local park district. I loved skating as a kid and could never pursue it seriously. I thought I would share a little video of me attempting to practice (and not doing all that well haha!) Gummy thinks I should even start a little skating blog... and maybe I will, although I'm sure all of 3 people will read it! Lol.

March Recap

March seriously flew by! I don't know about you, but this gross winter weather is really leaving me in a state of general blah-ness. Hopefully this is the last time I have to say that, as I hope the weather improves and stays that way! :) 

I mentioned at the end of February that I started up a figure skating class - it has been fun, and some of my old skills are (slowly) returning. And it is worth noting that while I may be lucky to possess a fast metabolism and a large appetite, I have absolutely no core strength remaining. Lol. So, I'm working on that too. Contemplating taking a Pure Barre class - have you tried it?

Products I Loved: I do have some favorites to share this month, and I don't want to reveal them all, but one of those that top my list is Kevyn Aucoin Sculpting Powder. It has been on my list for nearly 2 years and I always went back and forth on it, but I realize now that I should have bit the bullet and gotten it! I was also happily surprised by a sample of Bumble & Bumble Surf Shampoo, so that may end up in my basket during the Sephora sale coming up. 

Product Disappointments: I didn't care for quite a few samples of shampoo, including Bumble & Bumble's Gentle and Thickening versions. Not much else disappointed me this month though. Woohoo! 

Beauty Purchases: I'm trying to stay restrained, but my one big purchase this month was the NARSissist Eyeshadow Palette. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm quite excited to! Oh, and I picked up a few interesting things from the Japanese market that I plan to post about soon. 

Added to the Wishlist: Not much, surprisingly. How did that happen? I talked about my "almost" wishlist here, though.
