February Recap

This month totally flew by - with a too short trip to NYC at the beginning of the month, and general exhaustion and despair over winter for the rest of the month...

I also started taking a figure skating class to get some exercise, and I'm super excited to pick it up again. (I skated as a kid but wouldn't say I was all that great at it!)

Here's a peek at some of my Instagram snaps over the last few weeks. If you're not following me already, do visit and say hello! :)

Posts This Month: February Empties // Makeup On The Go // Love/Hate: Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask // Goldfaden MD Hands to Heart // Overnight Hydration Masks // Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blushes // Tatcha Gold Camellia Lip Balm // Lush Lots of Love // Products That Didn't Work for Me // Instead of Roses // Bite Beauty Lip Lab // NYC Beauty Purchases // Perfect Palette Tag

Products I Loved: I rediscovered my Burberry Dark Sable eyeshadow. I just love that shade as liner or for a bit of natural smokiness on my lids. Yay Burberry! On the perfume front, I'm still loving Balenciaga Rosabotanica, a new and slightly spicy yet fresh floral scent. I'll be sharing the rest of my February favorites in the next few days!

Product Disappointments: No disappointments this month, but I'm still haven't made my decision about Smashbox Always Sharp 3D Liner and Nars Matte Multiple. Have you tried them? I'd love to know your thoughts.

Beauty Purchases: Aside from my purchases in NYC, some fake lashes from Ulta, and a few small items from Sephora (UD Grindhouse, Bite Neutral Lip Duo, Beautyblender Solid Cleanser, Sephora Eyebrow Stencils and the previously mentioned Nars and Smashbox) I did very little shopping in February. I did pick up my first Mac Paint Pot in Tailor Grey that I have yet to try.

Added to the Wishlist: There's always a million and a half things that end up on my wishlist, but I'm definitely eyeing some Tom Ford (still) and the new shades of Shiseido Shimmering Cream Eyeshadow...

What's been on your radar this month? Are you surviving this cold winter?? :)

January Recap

I can't believe it is February already, can you? The last few days, I've been in NYC, and not only has it been warmer than Chicago, it has been such a great time catching up with old friends and reliving all my memories of the city.

I have a few more days in NYC and it should be fun. Lots of shopping and museums on the agenda, and of course lots of delicious food! Anyway, here's a peek at some Instagram snaps over the last few weeks.

Products I Loved
I was pretty thrilled by Goldfaden MD Fresh-a-Peel and loved every single one of my Cold Weather Must Haves. I also loved the Neom Organics 'Three Nights of Peace' Bath Oil Sampler. Mmm, so good.

Product Disappointments
Gummy gifted me a Burberry eyeliner and I was so depressed when my monolids made it nearly disappear in a few hours. :( I also really wanted to love the Diorshow Fusion Matte Mono Eyeshadow in Mirage from Dior's Spring collection, but while I loved the color, it just didn't wow me with performance.

Beauty Purchases
Lots of beauty goodies came home with me in January, mostly thanks to gift cards. From candles to lip balms and blogger influenced purchases... I'm sure you'll be seeing them pop up in this space soon! :)

Added to the Wishlist
So so many things made it to my wishlist, most notably Diptyque Rosamundi (which is now mine!) and Balenciaga Rosabotanica. I've also been contemplating hair goodies and far too much skincare. LOL.

What's been on your radar the last few weeks? I'd love to know! :)

This Week's Recap

I didn't wear a whole lot this week ( at least not different than any other recent week!) but I am for sure working on it.

I've updated my blog sale, so do take a peek at it here and help me find a new home for all the pretties! Also, Liz, Gummy and I are trying to improve our makeup habits using the app Lift, so please feel free to join us on this adventure.

Take a peek at my snaps from Instagram this week, and read on to see what's been on my radar!

Posts This Week (and last!): Tea for Your Bath? Try Osmia Organics // A Perfect Holiday Gift: Lush Rosy Christmas // November Favorites // At Work Duos // Diptyque Pine Bark Dupes // Relax This Season with Lush Bath Bombs // Products That Didn't Work For Me #5 // Lush Santa's Lip Scrub

Products I Loved: Chanel Rouge Double Intensite!! Totally a winner, and a full post coming soon.

Beauty Purchases: I got quite a lot in November so I was hoping to take it easy in December. I ended up getting a few things on Cyber Monday - a full size of the lovely Tatcha Cleansing Oil, an Armani Red Lip Set, and the Chantecaille Future Skin Foundation that Belly talks about (here).

Added to the Wishlist: Tracy talked about a Sonia Kashuk brush perfect for cream blush as well as the cream blush from Illamasqua, Sali Hughes mentioned Urban Decay Naked Powder as an alternative to Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders, and Danielle's Instagram swatch of Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Twilight has me *this close* to hitting checkout.

What's been on your radar this week? I'd love to know!

This Week

This has been another makeup free week. Whoops. Sometimes I am such a fail. I probably could've benefited from some concealer too, but I was just too sleepy.

I'm heading to LA this weekend for a quick trip so you can follow along with the Instagram feed below, which is currently displaying some highlights from my past week or two. You can also follow me on Instagram

Posts This Week:  Makeup Minis #1 // My Week in Lip (Balms) // Added to the Wishlist: Candles // Space NK Chicago Event & US Online Offer //  In Love with African Botanics Marula Intensive Skin Repair Balm

Products I Loved: I'm still trying to do what I can to get through my sample stash for the October Sampler, and it is hard. Haha. I liked the Skinfood Honey Black Tea Jelly Foam, but sadly the store was out of stock when I went to go buy it but I bought the Cleansing Milk instead!

Product Disappointments: Nothing too notable, but I ditched a few samples. I'm also sad to say that the Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum deluxe sample I finally finished wasn't terribly moisturizing and didn't seem to do much.

Beauty Purchases: I bought a Sephora brand concealer from the sale section with some store credit. I was going to say I haven't bought myself anything else this month, but then I realized that wasn't true because I used store credit to buy a lipstick and some hair things two weekends ago haha!

Added to the Wishlist: A billion far-too expensive candles as mentioned in my post earlier this week. Groan. They all seem too pretty, and I don't really have that many candles??

What products are on your radar this week? I'd love to know!
