Last summer, I was pretty thrilled when Nudestix launched and the team at Space NK gave me the chance to try a few items from the line. As a perpetual oversleeper, any product in stick form is always popular with me, and I have to say that Nudestix definitely fit the bill!
The Concealer Pencil in Light 3* was a surprise favorite. I've never been a fan of the pencil concept for concealer, as the ones I've tried just have not so creamy formulas, but this one works well for both under eyes and blemishes, though it may appear a bit dry on those with mature or extremely dry skin. In particular, I quite like using it to brighten the inner corners of my eye and lift the shadowy areas on the outer corners!
The Lip + Cheek Pencil in Whisper* was a fun one to try, and I found that the shade makes for a great cheek color for light/medium skin tones. No complaints about the texture or wear, though I do sometimes wish the formula was creamier. (I do love a good creamy blush!) On lips, however, this shade was terrible on me and the formula accentuated my dry lips though to its credit, it did not make them any worse. I think with the right shade, the Lip + Cheek Pencil could be quite versatile for people who don't have dry lip issues like I do.
I was surprised yet again by the Eye Pencil in Stardust* - for whatever reason, it just looks like a product that would be dry. It is decently creamy though, and is a pretty champagne nude. It performs like a standard eyeliner, so I probably would skip this if you have plenty of eyeliners in your stash.
My favorite of the bunch was the Magnetic Eye Color, which I received in Angel* and then purchased in Twilight. I quite enjoy the creamy yet long wearing texture of the formula, and they have a pretty metallic finish.
Below, I'm wearing Angel, a rosy champagne shade that almost blends into my lids, accented with Twilight along the lashline. I've also thrown on Whisper, and a bit of Concealer here and there. Then add in a bit of eyeliner and mascara, and a simple look is complete in under 5 minutes!
With more products to choose from this season and many more shades of the Magnetic Eye Color out there, I will definitely be keeping my eye on Nudestix. Have you tried anything from the brand? I'd love to know!
