I love shopping for beauty during the holiday season, so I thought this year I would put together some gift guides... Until I realized that everyone and their mother has been posting gift guides since November, that the sheer volume of great gift sets out there overwhelms me, and that time was about to get away from me. I did, however, want to talk about the growing number of beauty ornaments out there for purchase. I enjoy a good Christmas tree ornament, and I seem to like them infinitely more with beauty products inside!
One of the ornaments I always look at every year is the sparkly Eve Lom Kiss Mix Star.* I was really lucky to have received one this year, and I think this lip balm is quite good. I don't know if it beats out my La Mer or Bite Beauty favorites, but this one definitely makes it to my top 5. My lips are pretty extreme and this one relieves dryness, and even helps to repair the flaky bits. I also appreciate that the scent/flavor is a very subtle mint, and I actually like how it tingles on the lips!
I also couldn't tell you how many Sephora stores I searched for this Bite Beauty Matte Creme Lip Crayon ornament in Aubergine, or how excited when I finally found one hidden in the checkout at the 3rd or 4th Sephora I had been to within a few days... LOL! At any rate, I still haven't even tried it (thrill of the chase, anyone?) but thought I would share a swatch.

I always want to try Topshop Beauty, and the nail polish ornaments are particularly cute. Please excuse my dry hands and poor manicure skills, because this metallic silver Topshop Nail Polish* in Cryogenic applies just as well as the major brands out there, and it also dries really fast too. I'm particularly excited by the Matte Nail Polish* in Brutal, a deep grape shade that I'm really loving. (I'll be grabbing at least one for a last minute stocking stuffer!
Finally, I thought I'd share some other ornaments that have caught my eye over the last few weeks, especially if you're in need of any last minute gift items. Seriously, how cute are they? I'm this close to buying myself those Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks, and am curious to add a few more Bite minis to my stash. The others I'm eyeing for some last minute gifts!
