I love shopping for beauty during the holiday season, so I thought this year I would put together some gift guides... Until I realized that everyone and their mother has been posting gift guides since November, that the sheer volume of great gift sets out there overwhelms me, and that time was about to get away from me. I did, however, want to talk about the growing number of beauty ornaments out there for purchase. I'm all about layering skincare - a must in dry or cold climates - but I've suddenly discovered the magic of layering oil. I don't know about you, but I always thought one oil at a time was enough for one girl's skincare routine!
Then, as I was indecisive about what moisturizer sample I wanted to layer one night, I gave up and slathered on more oil! imagine my surprise when my skin felt hydrated and somehow not at all slippery. Seriously, why haven't I tried this before?
The Pai Rosehip Bioregenerate Oil (review) really soaks into my winter skin, while Kahina Giving Beauty Serum (review) just helps to make a barrier and lock in moisture. I've been loving the combination lately, and am thinking I should throw my much loved African Botanics Neroli Marula Oil into the mix...
Have you ever layered oils before? How did it work for you? Are there ingredient combinations that you love or would recommend? I'd love to know! :)
