Cozy Up with Lush Twilight Shower Gel

I'm generally not a fan of lavender, but for some reason I can totally handle it in Lush products. I was happily surprised by the Twilight Bath Bomb (review here) so I was sure that I would love Twilight Shower Gel.

lush twilight shower gel review

Just like its bath bomb counterpart, this sparkling purple shower gel is a comforting and subtle lavender concoction. It lathers up quite nicely (better than some other Lush shower gels!) and doesn't leave sparkles on your body. I just can't get over how comforting it is!

At the moment, I believe Lush Twilight is limited edition for the holidays, so be sure to get your hands on a bottle when you have the chance! What do you think about Lush Twilight Shower Gel? Is this something you would pick up for yourself? :)

What I Wore, #22

I wasn't as successful this week at wearing makeup as last week. Sad. Guess I was feeling more tired and headache-y again, so I hope I'm not getting sick!

Here's a peek at what I did manage to wear!

Rouge Bunny Rouge Eclipse Eagle Eyeshadow, Rouge Bunny Rouge Milk Aquarelle Foundation Sample, Givenchy Healthy Glow Powder in Ambre Croisiere, Clinique Superfine Liner for Brows in 02 Soft Brown, Armani Waterproof Smooth Silk Liner in 02 …

Posts this Week: My Lush Favorites & Giveaway // Hydrate with Dr. Ci:Labo // Cold Weather Lip Balm: Osmia Organics Luster // October Beauty Purchases

Products I Loved: My Rouge Bunny Rouge arrived, and I'm sure it will be love. But it is too early yet to rave!

Product Disappointments: The lovely Gummy sent me her mini Diptyque Mimosa candle that she recently purchased, and I hate to say that it isn't all that great. There isn't much scent, which is very unlike the other Diptyque I've tried, and what scent I can discern (some unknown floral note?) isn't all that great and doesn't smell like mimosas either? This one has left me confused! Edit: Apparently mimosas are a flower and they are just not my kind of scent!

Beauty Purchases: With the Sephora VIB sale winding down, I bit the bullet and ordered a few things I had been considering: Edward Bess Bronzer in Daydream, Bobbi Brown Long Wear Eyeshadow Stick in Bark, and the perfume gift sets from L'artisan Parfumeur and Atelier Cologne. I hope I like them all, though I'm quite picky about perfumes so who knows how I'll fare with those!

Added to the Wishlist: Pretty much the entire contents of the Beautyhabit and Space NK holiday catalogs. Some of the highlights - more Rouge Bunny Rouge, The Laundress Wool & Cashmere Spray, Diptyque's holiday collection. Someone please send help! Lol!

What did you love, hate, or pine after this week? Did you buy anything new and fun? I'd love to know what has been on your radar!

Hydrate with Dr. Ci:Labo

A while back, I received Dr. Ci:Labo Aqua-Collagen-Gel Super Moisture EX and I was excited to try a new product intended to be the "ultimate moisturizing gel."

dr ci labo aqua collagen gel super moisture ex review

Here's what Beautyhabit says about this moisturizing gel:
● "All-in-one" moisturizer that contains 6 functions; Toner, Emulsion, Beauty Essence, Cream, Facial Mask and Makeup Base. Helps create supple lustrous skin without any stickiness.
● Contains Dr.Ci:Labo’s original moisturizing ingredients, "Collagen HC Nano Capsule" which rapidly penetrates thoroughly into the skin.
● 120 kinds of beauty support ingredients (skin conditioning ingredients) which enhances your skin's natural beauty.
● Glycyrrhizic acid 2K helps balance your skin condition, and keeps skin healthy.
● No fragrance, no coloring, no mineral oils, paraben free, alcohol free, petroleum surfactant agent free.

As soon as I opened the box, I was immediately reminded of the Koh Gen Do Aqua Spa Moisture Gel, which I did not like because of the sticky texture it left on my skin. The packaging of Dr. Ci:Labo is exactly the same, right down to the plastic separator with the mini spatula for application.

Fortunately, this was not sticky in texture like the Koh Gen Do, though if you pile it on it does start to veer in that direction. If I apply a normal amount though, I seem to be fine, and I'm happy to say that this has provided some relief to my dehydrated skin. I like the light, yet hydrating texture of this, though I'm not sure someone with extremely dry skin or a preference for heavier textured creams would like this one.

I can't speak to the claims of this product being an "all in one," but I do find that I don't generally need to wear any other creams or things when I use this, and I don't have any issues with makeup while wearing this either. I can definitely see how this could work as a facial mask in terms of texture, but I haven't tested this for hydration. (I'm quite happy using my Rodial Dragon's Blood!)

I definitely think Dr. Ci:Labo Aqua-Collagen-Gel Super Moisture EX will be handy for layering skincare this winter. You can find it at Beautyhabit (affiliate link) in two sizes. What do you think about this moisturizer? Is this something you would try?
