This Week's Makeup Bag, #15

This week, I've selected a handful of exciting products to try. Most exciting on the list is the new, limited edition Tom Ford She Wolf eyeshadow trio. I couldn't resist the rave reviews, and I'm really looking forward to trying this out.

Tom Ford She Wolf, Tarte Exposed, Marc Jacobs Highliner in Ro(Cocoa), Chantecaille Sel Eyeshadow, Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Catfight, Nars Radiant Cream Foundation

I've also included my favorite all around foundation, Koh Gen Do Aqua Foundation, in the event that my skin really doesn't get along with Nars Radiant Cream Foundation. I haven't yet made a final decision on the Nars, so hopefully this week will allow for some proper testing. I hope to also make a final decision on Marc Jacobs Highliner in Ro(Cocoa), a pretty brown shade that doesn't seem to irritate my eyes like the black.

Last but not least, I plan to try out some fun new(ish) to me items: Chantecaille Sel Eyeshadow, the cute mini Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Catfight that is a Sephora 100 point perk right now, and the ever popular Tarte Exposed that Gummy gifted to me ages ago.

Hope you enjoyed this peek into my makeup bag - now fingers crossed that I actually manage to wear all of it! :) What is in your makeup bag this week? I'd love to know!

The Concealer Question

I've never been too concerned about concealer, but the last few months, I'm suddenly finding concealers really interesting. I've been wanting every concealer I see!

As with foundation, I prefer concealers to have a very natural finish so that anything I am covering still looks like my real skin. I'm not too fussed about having full or perfect coverage either, which is probably fortunate since a full coverage natural looking concealer sounds pretty hard to find!

For undereyes, I'm loving the Armani Maestro Eraser. I have shade #4, and it just looks good. Not a product for very dark circles, but it definitely brightens the undereye area - I'd say it is somewhere between your typical liquidy concealer and an illuminating pen.

Koh Gen Do Moisture Concealer  has also been a nice option for undereyes. I haven't tried it much on blemishes yet, but the three shades together using the accompanying application technique brightens my eyes and looks quite natural! Again this one doesn't provide a ton of coverage (not like Laura Mercier Secret Concealer) but it works just fine to cover undereyes or minor blemishes.

Last year, I picked up the Fresh Umbrian Clay Concealer for a bit more coverage on blemishes and redness. I've always been a fan of this concealer, especially since it  generally doesn't flake around my occasional breakouts. (How exciting is that!? Though I imagine for more intense breakouts or pimples that are already in a flaky state, it won't be a miracle product there!)

I won't talk about the discontinued Sephora concealer palette that I have in the above photo, but I will mention that I tried the Garnier Anti-Dark Circle Roller in the light shade recently which was nice, but I think too light for me. In the last few years, I've also used YSL Touche Eclat, Givenchy Mr. Light, Clinique Airbrush, and Fresh Supernova Brightening Pen. I just picked up the ever popular Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer with some CVS coupons and I'm excited to try that too. :)

So as my concealer collection continues to grow I'm wondering, how many concealers is too many? How many concealers do you own? I'd love to know! :)

I Can't Live Without Koh Gen Do Aqua Foundation!

Back in February, I purchased the Koh Gen Do Aqua Foundation along with a few other products from their line. I had put it off for quite some time, as the brand just seemed too pricy, but gosh, I am SO glad I finally took the plunge and splurged on the few products I chose. While I love the Moisture Foundation, I seriously am obsessed with the Aqua Foundation and am so happy to have it.

It is seriously the most even, beautiful coverage and finish, and it just lasts all day. It never accentuates any dry spots or any areas with poor texture, and I just love it!

As I mentioned in my video, the shade range is pretty limited. I am wearing OC-2 as shown in the video, and it is one of the darkest shades available.

As always, watch the video to see this foundation in action! :) What do you think of Koh Gen Do Aqua Foundation?? Have you tried anything from the brand before??
