A while back, Koh Gen Do sent me a one time use packet of their Macro Vintage Essence Mask as well as the Macro Vintage Stretch Eye Sheet. I saved them for quite a while, and I finally tried the Macro Vintage Essence Mask one day last week when I felt like my skin could use a bit of pampering! This was my first foray into sheet masks, and I have to say that I quite frightened my boyfriend with my face. LOL. However, once you open the package and unfold the mask, the creamy and cool emollient really soothed and comforted my dehydrated skin. Check out my scary face pic:
As you can see from the photo, the mask itself is larger than my face. I'd say that this would fit most face shapes, and I tried it on my boyfriend afterwards just to compare. On him, the mask doesn't stretch to the edges of his face.
I wore this mask for much longer than the prescribed 10 minutes, and the creamy emollient definitely felt nice on my skin. My boyfriend also thought the emollient was soothing, and thought this mask could be nice after a shower or shaving. :)
It is hard to say if this mask has long term effects, as I only had one application to test with. It felt nice, and at least seemed to keep my skin moisturized for a few days afterwards. Priced at $110 for 6 applications, this is definitely a splurge in my book.
Here are the ingredients if you need them:
All in all, I think this is a pretty great mask! With my limited experience with masks in general, I don't know if I can say if it is the best one out there, but it definitely was quite an enjoyable pampering experience.
Have you tried this or any other mask from Koh Gen Do? Do you have any recommendations for me to explore more sheet masks? :)
