Cuddle Up with Lush Schnuggle

Earlier on in the winter, I received the Lush Schnuggle lotion bar, and I was SUPER excited to try it. At first, I wasn't really sure what to expect! Would it be like a Lush massage bar, or would it be entirely different?! Perhaps I should have read the description online, as Lush describes it perfectly on their website:

When you get out of your night-time bath or shower, massage this moisturizing cocoa butter bar into your skin. The absorbent powders in Schnuggle make your skin feel soft and not the slightest bit oily, as though you've been sprinkled with skin-smoothing fairy dust. It's lovely right before bed because it moisturizes skin but you're saved the worry about ruining the sheets! The dreamy, soporific fragrance of lavender, chamomile, ginger and sandalwood (similar to our Dreamtime Luxury Bath Melt) will send you off peacefully into the land of nod.

lush schnuggle lotion bar review

It turns out that this lotion bar is a much more solid texture than the massage bars are, and it also doesn't create that nice massage oil feeling. (On the bright side, if you aren't a fan of the oils in the massage bar, this is perfect!) Meant to be a solid version of Dream Cream, this is a great way to moisturize without grease or oil. YAY! For me, this is perfect, as I don't have time to wait for oils or sometimes even lotion to soak in before throwing on some jeans, and let me tell you how hard it is to put on tight skinny jeans when you've just piled on lotion...!

Since the Schnuggle bar didn't have an oily feel to it, I was initially skeptical that it would provide enough moisture. After testing it for a handful of days, however, I've determined that it really works! No itchy, scaly legs for me! (Plus I like that added time it saves me from waiting for lotion to soak in!)

What I Wore, #2

In case you missed it, each week I am choosing a selection of products in the hopes of making everyday makeup application quick and easy. Check out the picks for this past week here. I still haven't managed to stop snoozing each morning, but this week I managed to wear a little something everyday. WOO! I mean, yeah, some days involved smearing on Nars Tinted Moisturizer while driving to work, but hey, I can barely expect myself to do any better... LOL!

Monday: I threw on Nars Tinted Moisturizer, which continues to be a favorite, and Burberry Pale Barley

Tuesday: Since I had the day off, I thought I'd try a few other products outside of my weekly picks. I broke out Guerlain Terracotta Healthy Skin Foundation, which was interesting, and I dabbed on some of my Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel which I haven't used in AGES. The standout was By Terry Rouge Delectation Intensive Hydra Plump Lipstick in Flirty Grenadine. Check it out - just one layer out of the tube and so pretty!

Wednesday: It was another one of those smear on Nars TM in the car sort of days...

Thursday: I somehow managed to wear Nars TM, my mascara duo of Diorshow Maximizer & Laura Mercier Full Blown Volume Mascara, and Bobbi Brown Long Wear Eyeliner in Black Plum.

Friday: I replicated Thursday AND managed to put on Fresh Umbrian Clay Concealer, Chanel Notorious, Burberry Pale Barley and Midnight Brown. WOHOO! GO ME.

Saturday: I really enjoyed the look for Saturday with Burberry eyeshadow combo applied with proper brushes. I have to say that it is MUCH better than the sponge applicators. And I'm also surprised at the medium, warm tone of Burberry Midnight Brown.  I rounded out the look with Nars TM, Jemma Kidd Eyeliner, and Fresh Umbrian Clay Concealer.

Sadly, I sucked at washing my face and also seem to need to wash my pillowcases... So I do have a few minor breakouts. Boo! I also think the Laura Mercier mascara sample is probably expired by now (my eyes were itchy and while it could have been allergies, I ought to toss it just to be sure!).

For the upcoming week, I think I'll rotate in some different products. Hopefully I can manage to put on makeup, and not in the car either! :)

What was your favorite look you did this past week? Are you shopping your stash or picking out a group of products to wear for the week? Do share! :)
