I'm happy to start the year with a decent batch of empties. Some months, it is just impossible to use anything up, but the last two months were pretty good!
First off, I'm excited to report that I used up not just one Lush bath product, but at least 8 of them! I love taking baths, especially in the winter when the weather is beyond cold. I lost track of which products they were, but I enjoyed them all and will eventually restock my Lush bath box.
Sample wise, my other half actually used up a tube of Philosophy Time in a Bottle. I think he must have liked it, at least enough to use it! He also used a sample of Aesop Oil Free Facial Hydrating Serum, which I thought was nice but didn't love the scent of. On my end, I liked but didn't love a quite generous sample of Peter Thomas Roth Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair Cleanser, and enjoyed sampling Chantecaille Bamboo & Hibiscus Exfoliating Cream.
I also did a poor job keeping up with Hum Nutrition's Cleanse to the Rescue*, the super portable supplements in cute blue and green packets. (See original post here.) Finally, we could burn candles again, and we used up the travel size Capri Blue Fir & Firewood candle that I purchased last winter.
I feel like I did a decent job finishing full size products too! I totally miss and will repurchase the Goldfaden MD Hands to Heart Hand Cream* (review), which is perfect for daytime use because it doesn't make your hands feel greasy at all. I also immediately repurchased a tub of the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream (review), which has always been perfect for my dry, itchy, and nearly eczema-prone winter skin. I also had another bottle handy of Koh Gen Do Cleansing Spa Water (review), my favorite makeup remover for the last few years.
On the skincare front, I was pretty sad to use up the Omorovicza Illuminating Moisturizer (review), which I just loved in January and would totally repurchase if it wasn't so expensive. I also used up a bottle of Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray, which I liked but wouldn't repurchase at this point. Last but not least, I used up both of the face oils I had on heavy rotation in the fall, the Pai Rosehip Bioregenerate Oil (review) and Kahina Giving Beauty Serum (review). While I enjoyed both, even at the same time (review), I won't be repurchasing since I want to try so many other natural skincare brands!
How have you been doing with empties lately? I'd love to know! :)
