It isn't even February 1st yet, and I've been plotting shopping carts for days. I seriously have no hope that I can be reasonable this month, although I would love if that somehow managed to happen. LOL. Here's a look at what's made it to the top of my gigantic list of things I want to buy. Hopefully I manage some self-restraint and make it past the stroke of midnight! :)
For quite some time, I've been debating a shade of Stila Convertible Color. I think I've finally landed on Poppy, and all of the reviews are really promising. I've also been quite interested in Armani Waterproof Smooth Silk Eye Pencil, this deep liquid like black pencil liner. My Neiman's counter was sold out, and Nordstrom only seems to list the Eyes to Kill Pencil, which doesn't appear to be the same thing. ARGH!
All month, I've been contemplating Diptyque Rose Duet. Considering it is limited edition, I ought to just bite the bullet, buy it, and give up on any other beauty for the month, but I just can't. Estee Lauder's new Stay On Shadow Paints are quite soft in texture, and Halo is just calling my name. I've also been wanting to try the Japonesque Heated Eyelash Curler, which seems significantly better made that Sephora's. Lastly, I've suddenly decided I need the Real Techniques Travel Essentials for the Multitask Brush, and now I'm not so sure why I gave away my stippling brush before trying it on cream blush?! Oh, I'm also quite hopeful that I'll find a stocked display of Rimmel Scandaleyes Liner in Nude...
So, by itself, these picks are somewhat reasonable considering that I think I have 40+ items on my wishlist right now. (Not to mention that I just remembered a 20% off code to Birchbox, where I could buy RMS! Oh dear...) But the thought of the Barney's Beauty Event (which typically takes place in mid-February and mid-September) is really making me desperate for some Koh Gen Do. I've honestly been thinking about getting some Koh Gen Do products at the sale since LAST SUMMER! So, should I be allowed to participate in this beauty event, I would love to restock my Cleansing Spa Water and finally get my hands on the Brightening Spa Moisture Mask. I can't decide between the Moisture Foundation and Aqua Foundation, so why can't I get both? They are, after all, quite different in texture...
At this point, you can see where I am struggling to be reasonable. February is only hours away, and I've been plotting quite hefty purchases for days. I just want to BUY IT ALL! But please, if you can, be a voice of reason! What would you choose, if you had to select only a few products? Do you have any advice for someone who is trying to show restraint?? :)
