Tea for Your Bath? Try Osmia Organics!

Baby it's cold outside... Yup, I have Christmas songs stuck in my head! And at this time of year, all I can think of are warm snuggly blankets and a comforting bath. (Even more so than usual - you can find me with a bath and snuggly blankets in July too, haha!)

Alongside my bath I usually have a cup of tea, and some days I think I'd like to bathe in said cup of tea. So of course I was thrilled to receive a sample of Osmia's Organic Tea Bath. Just what I was looking for!

Now onto the bath! From Osmia's site, here are the details -

  • For: All skin types, especially itchy, dry skin, including eczema and psoriasis.
  • How: Drop 1 bag (leave it tightly tied) into running bathwater and squeeze gently while you soak to release extracts. Each bag may be used two times. Allow to dry between uses.

I have to say that the bath definitely was comforting and I definitely felt like I was in a cup of tea. Hehe :). (Though with the addition of epsom salts and oats, it is a little more than tea!) Also, be sure to let the bag dry between uses - if you're careful, I think you may be able to get at least 3 uses out of a bag. If you're not careful and you let your bag stay moist in a ziplock bag, then it may get moldy!

I'm not sure how many bags come in the full size container that Osmia sells on their site - it looks like two based on the photo - and that definitely makes it quite an indulgent bathtime treat. (EDIT: Osmia confirms that it comes with SIX bags. Woohoo!) I'm not sure that I will purchase this one - at least not yet! I want to see if there are other tea baths out there, and Mr. Bunny seems sure that we can throw a handful of regular tea bags into a bath for the same effect. (LOL! I don't know if this is true but I sure am going to try!!)

What do you think about Osmia Tea Bath? Is this something that you would try? I'd love to know!

A Perfect Holiday Gift: Lush Rosy Christmas

Christmas is fast approaching, and I'm sure many of you have not yet finished your shopping. (Or am I wrong, and you guys are all really good at planning ahead? Did you know there are the fewest days between Thanksgiving and Christmas this year?) Anyways, I thought I'd help you along with a nice affordable gift set from Lush!

I'm all for roses and moisturizing products, so I was thrilled when I received Lush Rosy Christmas. If you're on the hunt for an affordable, gorgeously wrapped gift, look no further!

lush rosy christmas review

Lush Rosy Christmas ($15.95) contains two travel sized rose-scented products to make those winter showers a little more luxurious. Ro's Argan Body Conditioner is an old favorite for my winter skin - slather it on and rinse off, and that dry itchy skin is on it's way out. Read my original review here

Lush Rose Jam Shower Gel is topping the charts of my favorite shower gels. A bit more moisturizing than others, this argan oil infused gorgeousness is just a winter luxury. While Lush's Rose Jam scent may not be for everyone, I know that i quite like it. (Cute and Mundane has a great description of the scent in her review here) All I can say about the scent is that it smells like roses with the sweetness of jam. Ha! So descriptive!

November Favorites

I can't believe it is December already, and I must sound like a broken record saying this every month. :) At least this month I have a video for you of my favorite products to share.

novfaves

I have to say the highlights are probably Diptyque Pine Bark, which I posted about a few days ago here, and the ever easy Laura Mercier Caviar sticks. They're the perfect product to help me look well put together even if I really actually just smushed them on my eyelids at a red light while driving to work...

Do take a peek at the video and let me know what has topped your charts this November! :)

Happy December! This month, I thought I would bring you my favorites a little bit earlier than usual. I'd love to know what you've been loving, and if any of these products are on your holiday wishlist!

At Work Duos

During my workday, I always have a lip balm and a hand cream on me. Literally, in my pockets if possible, as my workplace has SUCH dry air. I realized I've been holding on to a few combos, so I thought I would share them with you!

lancome baume in love review, caudalie hand cream review

Lancome Baume in Love in Urban Ballet + Caudalie Hand & Nail Cream
I quite like this sheer pink balm from Lancome. It gives my lips a nice pop of pink, and the hefty tube is just so cute to tote around. The Caudalie Hand & Nail Cream is light and refreshing - not greasy in feel, which is perfect for working, and has a light citrus scent too. I think it would be perfect in the summer time too!

Osmia Organics Luster review, First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream review

Osmia Organics Luster* + First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream
I posted about Osmia Luster a few weeks back (here), but this natural wonder gives my lips a bit of berry tone and helps keep them hydrated. First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream (review) has always been my winter dry skin go-to, so this is perfect for the season and my increasingly dry hands.

Smith's Rosebud Salve Review, Life NK Hand Cream review

Smith's Rosebud Salve + Life NK Hand Cream
I picked up this tube of Smith's Rosebud Salve on a lunch break in hopes that it would do wonders for me like it once had. In college, I loved Rosebud Salve in a tin, and used it on my hands, lips, and even my dry, illness-prone nose! This time around, the salve doesn't seem to be quite as miraculous, but hey, lip balm is always good. I love the light citrus scent of the Life NK Hand Cream, but like the Caudalie, I'm not sure that it can measure up to the worst of winter weather. In any event, I've been using this little deluxe sample for a few weeks and am loving it.

What are your recommendations for cold weather and terribly dry air? Do you tote around hand cream and lip balm at work too? I'd love to know your at work must haves!
