Celebrate St Patrick's Day with Green Goodies from Lush!

Sometime over the last few years, I've turned into a very sleepy homebody. LOL. The thought of going out last night was kind of horrifying, and instead, I celebrated with some green goodies from Lush! The lovely Avobath really is one of my all time favorites from Lush. Pop it in the bath, and the lemony scented green bath is sure to bring St. Patrick's Day cheer. Avocado and olive oils also add moisture to your bath, which feels quite lovely on dry winter skin. I will buy this over and over again - it smells a bit like Pez candy to me, and I'm always in need of a little bit of moisture!

On the subject of dry skin, Lush Sugar Scrub is a handy little green savior. Don't let this guy under running water, as it can "melt". I like to grab a chunk, and let the ginger, fennel, and lavender scented scrub exfoliate away all the patchy scaly bits. Like with the Sandy Santa Sugar Scrub from holiday, I'm not sure how to store it except in a tupperware outside the shower. I also want to mix it up with a shower gel, and see what that would be like!

Now if I were to have gone out last night, I would have dabbed on a bit of Intuitive Cream Eyeshadow to really be a bit festive. As you may have guessed, this type of bright lime green doesn't quite fall into my normal choice of neutral colors for eyes. And while I've dabbled with color in the past, this green is quite the new experience for me!

Lush Intuitive eyeshadow review, lush emotional brilliance

Sparkly and green, it is quite pretty! Intuitive comes with a sponge tip applicator, which you can you to kind of sheer out the color, but for blending on the eye, I think I'd probably rather use my fingers. With an eyeliner brush, you can use this pretty green shadow as a liner too!

And last but not least, you always need a good shampoo in the morning. I keep sniffing Cynthia Sylvia Stout, and it has such an interesting blend of lemony freshness and bourbon. Sadly, I have too many shampoos open right now, so it'll be a little while before I can make a proper review.

So there you have it! Fun goodies for St. Patrick's Day! Did you do anything to celebrate this weekend? Or did you do any fun celebratory makeup looks? :)

Products mentioned were provided for review by Lush PR. These and other Lush goodies are available to purchase at Lush retail stores and online.

What I Wore, #10

Oy, what a week! I sort of fell off the face of the earth this week. Apparently if I don't feel well, the only thing I want to do is mope around! Anyway, I hardly managed any makeup this week, sadly. A bit of foundation and a little concealer was the best I could do!

Another interesting piece of news came into my inbox this week. Have you guys heard of Heart Beauty Magazine? The fall issue is due out soon, and features the makeup artistry of Rae Morris for the cover. (I've always wanted to get one of Rae Morris' makeup books - have any of you read them and recommend them? As much as I love blogs, I also have this obsession with beauty books!) Anyway! check out this exciting promo image from the magazine! I can't wait to see another magazine that is ALL about beauty - there's only so many times I can read an issue of Allure, right?  How was your week?? I feel like I missed everything in the online world this week, so fill me in! What makeup did  you wear this week? Any favorites??? Besides blogs, what magazines (and their beauty features!) do you love? Are you planning on checking out Heart Beauty? Do share! I want to chat! :)

Heart Beauty is currently providing subscriptions to bloggers who post about their upcoming magazine launch. I am a avid fan of magazines, and even more so of beauty-centric publications, so I am quite excited to see what's in store. If you all are interested, I'll be happy to post a review once the magazine launches - do let me know if this is something you'd like to see!

What I Wore, #9

Here's a look at what I wore this week, a bit of a makeup diary of sorts. :) I didn't manage to get good use out of all the products in my rotation, but whatever! For those of you just jumping into this, I've been selecting a weekly makeup bag to help streamline my morning routine in hopes of using more of my collection. I quite like to buy makeup, but don't manage to put much or sometimes ANY makeup on in the mornings. These "what I wore" posts really aim to document what I did (or didn't!) wear! :)
