Nordstrom Beauty Bash 2012

I love the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and the beauty exclusives that come out each year. (Who doesn't, right?) I've gotten some pretty great GWP's too in previous years. As you know, my beauty wishlist is somewhat lengthy, so I was hoping that the sale would be a great opportunity to pick up a few of the items with a few extra perks. After some careful consideration, I decided that my one must-have item was a Tom Ford lipstick I had been lusting after for a while. (Can you believe I narrowed it down to one thing??) Yesterday morning, I attended a Beauty Bash that had a free gift for the first 300 shoppers. Here's what I got!

Much like a beauty trend show, this event had a DJ, breakfast items, as well as promotions for current trends and giveaways. Being that it was 7am and I was half asleep, I avoided most of this activity. I high-tailed it to the Tom Ford lipsticks, chose the shade I wanted and purchased it right away. I browsed a few counters in peace, then ran out of there to get to work at 8am.

I later realized that I forgot to check most of the counters for the fall collections... WHOOPSIES!  Here's a quick shot of the lipstick I purchased!!

Have you guys picked up anything from the Anniversary Sale? What are your must-haves from the list of exclusives? Have you tried any of these samples or the lipstick? I'd love to hear! :)

June Hauls & Spending Recap

Not quite the end of June yet, but I made a video this month for my beauty hauls. I think I went a bit above budget, BUT it was my birthday month, and that's what I'll keep telling myself even though I also bought myself clothes and accessories this month...! Anyway, here goes!

My hauls for June! Visit Bronzerbunny.com for more!

  • Maybelline Mega Plush Mascara

I cringe at how many products I purchased only this week - everything noted after the Revlon cream blush... And now that I've added up the total I spent after gift cards, coupons, etc, I am still cringing. I'll just keep telling myself that it was my birthday and I'm getting living expenses paid for by work so I'm sort of coming out ahead... Right? Grand Total: $163.67

How did you do this month with your beauty spending? I'd love to hear!

May Spending Recap & Wishlist Additions

As some of you may know, I've been in California for about a week and a half now for work. (Exciting!) I'm sorry for the lack of posts, but I will definitely be working on some for you guys this weekend! Surprisingly, I managed to wear a bit of makeup on the majority of my days here. Most days it was just a bit of Nars Tinted Moisturizer, but other days I even managed mascara! Wohoo, especially with early morning wakeup times and working 8-5 everyday. I've also loved wearing the combination of Jo Malone English Pear & Freesia mixed with Orange Blossom! I was also excited to discover that CVS stores here in California carry quite an extensive selection of La Roche Posay...!

We also visited Monterey last weekend, and then saw the fireworks for the Golden Gate Bridge anniversary... While in San Francisco I discovered Kevyn Aucoin Creamy Glow in Tansoleil, a very pretty cream blush I hope to pick up ASAP. I also found Kiehl's Razor Relief and Deodorant, which I'm quite interested in trying... And I definitely hope to pick up Deborah Lippman's cuticle remover based on a review I saw on KarlaSugar. Have you tried any of these products? If so, I'd love to hear!

Here's my updated wishlist... it's growing again!

So on to my spending for May - much better this month than many others! (It was extremely helpful to know I was coming out to CA and needed to spend money on things here!)

  • Ole Henriksen Nurture Me Cream
  • Real Techniques Stippling Brush & Setting Brush
  • CoverGirl Lipstick in Spellbound
  • Physician's Formula pH bronzer and lip gloss kit
  • Origins A Perfect World Moisturizer with SPF 35
  • Origins Drink Up 10 Minute Mask
  • Ole Henriksen African Red Tea Balm
  • First Aid Beauty Smooth Shave Cream
  • Sephora OPI Nail Polish Remover

Fortunately, I did return a number of products so I exchanged for many of these products and didn't have to spend anything additional. In total, I had to spend only about $26! Wohoo!

Have a great weekend guys! I'd love to hear what you're up to and what products you're interested in right now!

Happy Mother's Day & April Spending Recap

Hi everyone! I hope you are all enjoying Mother's Day - what did you end up getting for your mom? The last few days, I've been contemplating what kind of makeup to pack for a long trip. I'll be traveling for work for nearly a month! Eep.

I also realized I never did an April spending recap, which is mostly just a record for me to see how I'm doing with beauty spending.

In April, I bought:

- Maybelline Color Tattoos Bad to the Bronze and Audacious Asphalt - $7.63 - Ole Henriksen Sugar Glow Scrub (gift card) - Maybelline Falsies Flared Mascara - $5 - Korres Lip Butter in Plum (gift card) - Sephora Flashy Liner in Taupe (gift card) - L'Oreal Infallible in Pink Sapphire - $5 - Guerlain Pucci Bronzer - $71 - April Birchbox - $10

Grand Total: approx. $99

The Guerlain bronzer was my big splurge, but otherwise I did ok... What do you guys think??
