About a year ago, I purchased this Tom Ford #12 Eyeshadow Contour Brush after debating endlessly over which eye brush I wanted. Then I left it in its box for a few months, then once I finally unwrapped it, I couldn't quite fit it into my routine. Now that I've had it for a year, I've finally found the perfect use for it!
I originally bought this brush thinking it could fit into my everyday eye looks - perhaps for the crease or outer v. What I discovered, however, is that while this brush has a bit of a rounded tip, the hairs themselves are stiffer than your average shadow brush. Not what I expected when ordering online! It is not a terrible brush for the crease or outer v, but the brush's medium stiffness makes it not ideal in my opinion and also requires a bit more blending.
What this brush does perfectly is eyeshadow as eyeliner. It somehow creates the nicest soft line, much smoother and quicker than any other smudge brush I've used. I'm in love!
I won't go into much detail about the design of the brush, aside from saying that I really like the shape of the handle - not tapered, not too thick or thin. The overall look and feel of the brush is luxurious, as it should be, given its price tag. (I wonder if Hakuhodo has something similar at a lower price point?)
All in all, this is my favorite smudge brush, and I'm totally eyeing other Tom Ford brushes. Have you tried this or any other brush from Tom Ford? I'd love to know! :)
