I have an itchy scalp, nearly year round. Yuck. It may have to do with the temperature of water that I use to wash my hair everyday, but I am not good at changing habits, especially in the morning! I saw this at Lush back in June, picked up a sample that I liked, and bought this in July. Like Lush's fresh face masks, this does have a short shelf life -I purchased mine during the first week of July and the expiration is July 29th. For some, this short life span may not work, but I've had mine in the fridge and it was still fine when I used it a few nights ago.
This product has a really fresh, minty scent. To me, it smells like Tiger Balm, but either way, it really helps to cool down the itch I often have in my scalp! As you can see from the first photo, Lush recommends massaging it into your hair and scalp, but I would hold off on putting it fully in your hair unless you have time to spend carefully washing it out. The first time I used this product, I got a lot of it in my hair and as I am terrible at rinsing things out, I unintentionally left some product in and parts of my hair were a bit greasy that day! (Let me just say, I can barely rinse out shampoo successfully on a regular basis, haha!)
Here is a look at the texture of the product. Ew, I didn't realize there was a hair in it, so I'm super sorry about that! All in all, I think this is a great product, even if it has a bit of a learning curve when you first use it. I suppose anyone who has experience with hair masks wouldn't find this unusual, though! I'm excited to try out more hair products from Lush and hair masks in general, and am happy to report that Lush Hair Doctor keeps my scalp itch-free for up to a week at a time!
What do you think of this product - have you tried it before? I'd also love to hear your recommendations for any hair or scalp treatments! :)
