Better late than never, right? Here’s a look at most of my beauty empties for the end of 2018.
There were a few items I had to toss, because honestly I don’t know how old they really are…. The Chantecaille Luminous Gloss in Guava - I think this is a great lip gloss formula but I’m just not a gloss girl, and then I realized this gloss has to be over 3 years old at minimum, so it is definitely time to go. Similarly, the Nature’s Origin Lavender Essential Oil Blend just didn’t smell so great anymore. Ugh. (But it was good while I used it, ha!)
I also had to toss the last of this Aesop Reverence Aromatique Hand Balm because my horrible squeezing of the metal tube totally caused it to break. Aside from that, this one was one of my absolute favorite hand creams - beautifully scented and really amazing for dry winter hands.
During one of my declutters, I found this Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel that I had nearly finished ages ago - so of course I had to finish it! I loved the light rose sent and gel texture initially, but I found that the texture is better suited to the muslin cloth wipe off method of cleansing, which is totally not a part of my lifestyle. Nevertheless, I did enjoy the last of this gentle formula.
I get lash extensions, but when I’m too many weeks in between appointments, I definitely like wearing mascara when I have the chance. I haven’t found a mascara love since my last favorite was discontinued, but I definitely enjoyed the Givenchy Noir Couture Mascara in Black Satin. I feel like it was on par with a lot of Dior’s mascaras that I’ve enjoyed before.
I finished this little sample of the Sisley Black Rose Cream Mask, which is a face mask that I use overnight and have loved over the years for keeping my skin calm and hydrated. I have a full size tube I’m almost done with, and I’ll probably try some more affordable options once I finish it, but I definitely know I will come back to this one in the future.
And of course, more rose! I loved using this MV Organics Rose Moisturizer and would definitely repurchase this once I get through my existing skincare stash. (Review here.)
Last but not least, sometimes its nice to have a really basic eye makeup wipe. I thought these Simple Eye Makeup Remover Pads fit the bill perfectly and removed makeup well. Definitely will repurchase these when I need to replenish my wipe stash.
That’s about it for my beauty empties for the last few months of 2018. I definitely finished some bath & body stuff, but I ended up tossing most of that rather than keeping it. I think for 2019 I’ll keep better track of my products I use up!
What about you guys? Are you still keeping track of your beauty empties??
