Celebrate Easter with Lush!

When Lush sent me goodies from the Easter collection, I was SO excited. I love spring, and I just love spring themed items too! Here's a look at the items that I received.

The Brightside* - $8.95
This cheerful bubble bar is just an amazing swirl of color and citrus scent. Filled with Sicilian mandarin, tangerine, and bergamot oils, this is seriously a dream for a citrus lover like me. Break off a chunk (or perhaps use a butter knife!) and toss it into your bath as your water runs, and enjoy the orangey goodness (with your eyes and nose!) If you have high water pressure or jets in your tub, you can get away with using 1/4 of the bar for one bath! I just held my quarter chunk under running water, and it almost smelled like I had a nice orange soda!

Carrot* - $7.95
I've stared at the carrot every spring now for the past few years, quite curious about how I would like it. I don't know why I've never bought it before, as I love the idea of a reusable bar that is easy to hold. According to Lush, this will last for at least 7 baths! Swish it around under running water and swish it around for maximum lemony bubbleness!

The Immaculate Eggception in Pink* - $12.95
This gigantic egg bath bomb is such an Easter Treat. Crack it open for a cute surprise, and use each piece separately for 3 baths. Filled with ylang ylang, grapefruit, and vanilla, this is a perfect Easter treat. Cute and colorful and also available in yellow, this is a great bath bomb to gift to a Lush enthusiast or even a Lush newbie!

Henata* - $7.95
The Henata is like a piñata - exciting! This little hen is filled with tangerine, bergamot and mandarin oils, and smash it open to reveal a bath bomb egg full of soap petals. While it has similar notes to Brightside, this also has a layer of floral. A soapy floral, which to me is a bit stronger than the citrus scent and doesn't have the sweetness that some of the other citrus Lush products have. That may be a good thing for those of you who find citrus to be too sweet!

Of all of these, Brightside is my favorite. Having never tried bubble bars before, this was an exciting introduction for me in a perfectly "me" scent. I love Henata and Immaculate Eggception for the surprise goodies inside, and the Carrot bubble bar is just so fun to swish around! I think these products are perfect Easter gifts for both adults and kids!

Put a Spring in Your Step With Lush Sexy Peel Soap

This spring is all about citrus for me, and when Lush sent me Sexy Peel soap a little while ago, I was quite excited. Citrus will always have a place in my stash, that's for sure!

This pale orange soap lathers quite well and is a great option for those not exciting morning showers. Of all the Lush soaps I've tried, Sexy Peel is definitely one of my favorites. Filled with orange and lime oils, I just love the fresh citrus scent of this one. The scent actually reminds me a bit of the Whoosh Shower Jelly and Avobath combined, both of which I love. :)

There's not much to say about this soap except that it smells good, cleans well, and looks pretty. If I had piles of money around, I would definitely put Lush soaps in guest bathrooms and stuff like that, but I don't have piles of money or a guest bathroom, LOL! Have you tried any Lush soaps? Celebrate St Patrick's Day with Green Goodies from Lush!

Sometime over the last few years, I've turned into a very sleepy homebody. LOL. The thought of going out last night was kind of horrifying, and instead, I celebrated with some green goodies from Lush! The lovely Avobath really is one of my all time favorites from Lush. Pop it in the bath, and the lemony scented green bath is sure to bring St. Patrick's Day cheer. Avocado and olive oils also add moisture to your bath, which feels quite lovely on dry winter skin. I will buy this over and over again - it smells a bit like Pez candy to me, and I'm always in need of a little bit of moisture!

On the subject of dry skin, Lush Sugar Scrub is a handy little green savior. Don't let this guy under running water, as it can "melt". I like to grab a chunk, and let the ginger, fennel, and lavender scented scrub exfoliate away all the patchy scaly bits. Like with the Sandy Santa Sugar Scrub from holiday, I'm not sure how to store it except in a tupperware outside the shower. I also want to mix it up with a shower gel, and see what that would be like!

Now if I were to have gone out last night, I would have dabbed on a bit of Intuitive Cream Eyeshadow to really be a bit festive. As you may have guessed, this type of bright lime green doesn't quite fall into my normal choice of neutral colors for eyes. And while I've dabbled with color in the past, this green is quite the new experience for me!

Sparkly and green, it is quite pretty! Intuitive comes with a sponge tip applicator, which you can you to kind of sheer out the color, but for blending on the eye, I think I'd probably rather use my fingers. With an eyeliner brush, you can use this pretty green shadow as a liner too!

And last but not least, you always need a good shampoo in the morning. I keep sniffing Cynthia Sylvia Stout, and it has such an interesting blend of lemony freshness and bourbon. Sadly, I have too many shampoos open right now, so it'll be a little while before I can make a proper review.

Cozy Up to Lush Therapy Massage Bar

I love Lush massage bars, so when they sent me this citrusy rendition, I was pretty excited! The shape and pale yellow color are quite cute in my opinion! Like the other massage bars from Lush, the cocoa and shea butters really help to moisturize the skin. It also warms up quite quickly when it comes into contact with your skin. My boyfriend describes it as "slick" and thinks it is quite easy to use - he even thinks that the oils melt faster against your skin with this one compared to some of the other bars we've tried.

I think the scent is a nice blend of lavender and neroli, but I have this weird thing with lavender and it really stands out to me! My boyfriend finds it to be a balanced, fresh scent, and says that it is his favorite so far, but then again, he has forgotten all about the From Dusk Till Dawn massage bar that I bought from the Valentine's collection and have forgotten to use...!

All in all, I really enjoy Lush massage bars. I think the best way to choose one is to pick the scent that is most appealing to you - it really is a bit of an aromatherapy adventure, in my opinion!
