Perfect Palette Tag (My Palette Collection)

I'm a bit late to the game with the perfect palette tag, but I figured that since I finally managed to figure out some answers and film a video, I may as well. post it! I filmed this video a few weeks ago, and there's something weird going on with the camera settings, so apologies for that!

Since I edited down my palette stash a TON over the last year or so, I thought it might be totally doable to show you guys what I have. Here's a peek at my palette stash!

Have you done this tag? Do share if you have done a post or leave your choices in the comments below! :)

I'm a bit late, but here's a look at my nearly edited down palette collection. :) Sorry something is wonky with the camera or lighting - will fix it for the next one!

Project Make-a-Dent: Makeup, #1

Last fall, Lola's Secret Beauty Blog started her Project Make a Dent, and over the course of a few months, she did actually make a sizable dent in most of the items that she selected. (See her original posts here and here.) I had been thinking about doing this ever since her original post, and while I committed to using up some minis in this post in October, I really wanted to give it a go with some full sizes in my stash as well.

So, when Gummy and I started talking about this again, we decided it was time to really do this! Check out Gummy's post and all the goodies she picked here. The real intent of this project is to use these up completely, but I'm also allowing myself to get rid of these by tossing them or giving them away. (Hey, it is all about editing the stash as much as possible!)

I had a hard time picking things to focus on, but in the end I decided to pick things I have had a while and toss in a few items that I don't frequently reach for.

I chose 3 lip colors that I don't frequently use - Fresh Sugar Coral Lip Treatment, Revlon Lip Butter in Raspberry Pie, and Lancome Color Design in Wannabe. I really have no thoughts on these formulas but can't seem to let go of them, so I figured this would be the perfect time to either use it or lose it!

I've also had this Sephora Concealer Palette for quite some time, and the Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Liner is fast approaching the 2 year mark in age. (It has a crack in the product on one side, but it is still going strong and has a good dent going!) I don't even know how long I"ve had the Estee Lauder Pure Color Eyeshadow in Tempting Mocha, but it definitely is a pretty shade.

Last but not least, I chose one of my favorite foundations, Koh Gen Do Moisture Foundation, which is the oldest foundation (almost a year old!) in my stash of winter appropriate shades. I've already started using some of these in the last week or so before taking this picture, so I hope I can keep up and make a dent in them!

What do you think of Project Make-a-Dent? Will you be joining in? I'd love to know! :)

New Year's Detox & Pamper

After the holidays (and New Year's Eve!) it is the perfect time to start fresh, have a good detox and a nice long pamper session. My night in on New Year's Day is sure looking to be a nice relaxing one! Read on to see my picks!

DETOX
When I think detox, I look straight to Osmia Organics Detox Exfoliating Mask* and Chantecaille Detox Clay Mask with Rosemary & Honey. Mix the Osmia powder with water and slather on for 15-20 minutes. Filled with 3 kinds of purifying clay, bamboo charcoal, and raw cacao, this mask leaves my skin feeling clean and clear. When I'm feeling a bit sensitive or dry, I depend on my Chantecaille Detox. I love the blue-charcoal color and this stuff just leaves my skin looking even, soothed, and not at all red!

rodial dragon's blood hyaluronic mask review, lush massage bar

PAMPER
My first thoughts after a busy holiday season are to lay down and have a good massage. For this, I love Lush massage bars - Magic Wiccy Muscles is a recent favorite, but Therapy is the one I've selected here. Honestly, I haven't found one I don't like! The key here is to pick the scent that is most comforting to you! Then for my face, I'll be sure to slather on Rodial Dragon's Blood Hyaluronic Mask, a must have for me when my skin needs a little more hydration.

How was your holiday season? Are you looking for a little detox & pamper today? I'd love to know what your picks for this are! :)

Spill It! What's in My Makeup Bag

I was pretty excited when Tiffany of Will Work for Makeup tagged me to spill the contents of my makeup bag. I was contemplating sharing my current makeup bag of products that I've been focused on using, so this was just perfect timing!

From Rouge Bunny Rouge to BareMinerals, I've stuffed this bag pretty full of all kinds of products. :) I can barely zip it! I thought I'd show you guys on video to really share all the goodies!

What do you think of my makeup bag? Are any of these items in your bag too? I'd love to know!
