Today I bring you 3 products that I think are pretty great, but sadly just don't work for me. :( Most of the time, when I find a product I don't love, I typically don't want to post about them. However, I was so looking forward to all three of these products, and all of them perform so well that I am SO sad to not love them.
First up is the Armani Waterproof Smooth Silk Eye Pencil. This is an amazing, creamy, smudgeproof liner and the black shade is so black it looks like liquid. Sadly, it made my eyes itch. Check out the review I shared last week for more details.
I was also very excited to try RMS Uncoverup, and I ordered the shade #22 (medium). The pot is much smaller than I expected, but the packaging itself is cute. I think the product itself makes for a great undereye concealer, while it did slightly accentuate dryness around some of the terrible blemishes I've been having. However, the coconut scent was just not for me. I do think the scent is not too strong, but I do tend to be pretty picky about scents on my face. I don't like coconut, and I just don't think I'll use it, so I decided to return it. Sad!
Estee Lauder Stay On Shadow Paint in Halo was another product that I was very excited to get my hands on. When I swatched it a few times at the counter, it had such a nice brightness and shimmer that made for such a nice highlight. For whatever reason, it isn't showing up that way on me, and that is SO sad. The formula is very creamy - almost whipped in texture, and I love that. It doesn't crease on me either, and I wore it multiple times for at least 8 hours. I don't know if I got a bad one, or if this color just isn't right for me, so I decided to take this back. I'll definitely keep an eye out for future shades, and if I needed more colors I would probably grab the bronze and the shimmery black shades...
So there you have it! 3 products that made me SO sad to return, because they really could have worked great for me. I definitely plan to try the Armani liners again, and I'm definitely going to keep the Estee Lauder Shadow Paints in mind for a future purchase.
Have you tried any of these products? Do share how they fared for you! :)
